Fairmont, WV 鈥 色盒直播 Community and Technical College鈥檚 annual Maker Camp will return the week of July 15 to offer middle and high school students the opportunity to participate in immersive STREAM (science, technology, reading/writing, engineering, art, and mathematics) activities.

Now in its fifth year, the week-long day camp aims to foster creativity and innovation while engaging students with hands-on learning opportunities in manufacturing, technology, entrepreneurship, and more.

鈥淭he team behind the inception of this camp years ago was a diverse assembly, including science educators, political science scholars, visual arts designers, librarians, and local business leaders,鈥 said Rachel Beach, Maker Camp Director. 鈥淪uch a rich gathering of expertise forms the bedrock of our camp to inspire the next generation to reach for innovation, artistic brilliance, technological advancements, and the creation of platforms that generate employment opportunities.鈥

Attendees of the 2024 Maker Camp will dive into 3D printing, design, introductory welding, scratch coding, and robotics, among other STREAM activities. The group will receive instruction from 色盒直播 faculty while experiencing a college campus. A closing ceremony will mark the completion of the camp, and family and friends will be invited to view the projects prepared by campers.
