FAIRMONT, W.Va. 鈥� The 色盒直播 Foundation will host its annual Day of Giving on April 1, 2026, inviting alumni, employees, students, community and industry partners to join together in celebration and support of Pierpont. This year鈥檚 theme, 鈥溕兄辈� Proud: Celebrating Our Story,鈥� honors the achievements and shared pride that continue to define 色盒直播鈥檚 growing impact across 色盒直播鈥檚 service region.
This year鈥檚 Day of Giving places special emphasis on the expansion of the 色盒直播 Pride Pantry, which provides free, confidential access to food, personal care items and other essential supplies for students. With pantry locations growing across the 色盒直播鈥檚 campuses, the Foundation is working to ensure that all students have access to the basic resources they need to succeed inside and outside the classroom.
Dr. Michael Waide, Interim President of 色盒直播, emphasized both the importance of the pantry and the momentum 色盒直播 has built over the past year. 鈥淭he Pride Pantry represents exactly where we are as a college 鈥� moving forward with purpose and creating the kind of support systems that help our students thrive,鈥� Waide said. 鈥淢omentum is not just about growth; it鈥檚 about strengthening the foundation our students stand on. Ensuring they have access to essential resources is one of the most impactful ways we can help them succeed, and I鈥檓 proud to support this effort through a matching gift.鈥�
Day of Giving also highlights the growing enthusiasm and engagement throughout the 色盒直播 community. With increased alumni involvement, strengthened departmental partnerships and expanded program offerings, the college has seen renewed energy around giving and participation. This year鈥檚 goal of $65,000 reflects both the progress made and the aspirations ahead, as 色盒直播 continues to elevate student support, expand access, and build on the momentum that has carried the institution forward.
Kathy Hypes, Director of the 色盒直播 Foundation, noted that the Day of Giving showcases the impact of individual stories and collective action. 鈥淭his day is about celebrating the people who make 色盒直播 what it is,鈥� Hypes said. 鈥淓very gift 鈥� whether it supports a scholarship, an academic program or a student in need 鈥� represents someone who believes in our mission. That shared commitment is what drives our momentum and strengthens the future of Pierpont.鈥�
Several matching opportunities will once again inspire generosity throughout the event. Dr. Darin Walker and Jennifer Walker will offer a five鈥憈o鈥憃ne match supporting the Hannah Walker Scholarship Fund for PRIDE Academy, up to $1,000. 色盒直播 alumna Nancy Parks will provide a dollar鈥慺or鈥慸ollar match for Board of Governors AAS scholarships. Additional leadership challenges will support unrestricted giving through the President鈥檚 Fund and the 色盒直播 Fund.
Early giving opens the week before, encouraging supporters to participate, share their pride and help build excitement leading into April 1.
Natalie Tennant, chair of the 色盒直播 Foundation Board, shared the importance of broad participation in reaching this year鈥檚 goal. 鈥淓very dollar counts and no donation is too small to make a difference,鈥� Tennant said. 鈥淲hen we come together, we support the visionaries, the innovators, and the trailblazers who will shape our communities for years to come.鈥�
