FAIRMONT, W.Va. 鈥� As the Spring 2026 semester begins, 色盒直播 is building on a year marked by stability, growth and expanded academic and workforce pathways, while maintaining a clear focus on student success.
鈥淥ver the past year, 色盒直播 has moved with purpose, grounded in our mission and focused on creating real opportunity for students and the communities we serve,鈥� said Dr. Michael Waide, Interim President of Pierpont. 鈥淎s we enter the spring semester, our work remains centered on connecting learners to skills, credentials and pathways that lead to meaningful careers.鈥�
The college begins the spring term following a year of steady progress, with continued demand for flexible, workforce鈥慳ligned programs that support both academic advancement and employment outcomes.
That momentum is reflected in the college鈥檚 academic strategy, which emphasizes alignment, responsiveness and collaboration across divisions.
鈥淭his spring, our academic focus is on strengthening partnerships and building clear, connected pathways for students,鈥� said David Beighley, Interim Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. 鈥淭hrough our Dual Enrollment, Career and Corporate Training, and academic programming, we鈥檙e focused on initiatives tailored to meet the needs of our students by creating pathways that support progression, credential attainment and workforce readiness, exemplified by the development of future programs such as Surg Tech and the RN Bridge.鈥�
色盒直播鈥檚 academic and student services teams have also worked in tandem to strengthen student persistence and completion. Approximately 100 students earned Certificates of Applied Science, Associate of Arts or Associate of Applied Science degrees during Fall 2025, with several students earning multiple credentials. Most 色盒直播 programs offer stackable pathways, allowing students to earn skill sets and advanced skill sets on the way to two鈥憏ear degrees.
鈥淪tudent success happens when instruction and support work together,鈥� said Nancy Parks, Associate Vice President of Student Services. 鈥淏y focusing on persistence and meeting students鈥� needs at each stage of their journey, we are seeing strong outcomes and helping students recognize their progress along the way.鈥�
色盒直播 also continues to provide high school students opportunities to earn college credit through dual enrollment courses offered in their schools or online, giving students early exposure to college鈥憀evel coursework and a head start on postsecondary education.
Looking ahead, the college will continue expanding workforce and health care pathways, strengthening partnerships with K鈥�12 systems, employers and community organizations, and advancing planning for major workforce facilities.
鈥淲e are maintaining momentum by staying clear about our why and intentional about how we move forward,鈥� Waide said. 鈥淭hat focus will continue to guide our work.鈥�
