Parks (she/her), a Clarksburg, WV native, is a Fairmont State College & WVU graduate and former remote student of Grambling State University.聽 Parks designed and delivered the college鈥檚 Early Assessment program聽for聽area high schools and served as Associate Professor in first-year courses, including Composition Skills,聽College Reading & Study Skills, Freshman Orientation, and Sociology electives.聽 From 2014 to 2019, Parks served as Director of Assessment & Academic Advising聽and from 2018-2019 as a member of the President’s Executive Cabinet.聽聽In her current role, Parks acts as a resource for faculty in the design and delivery of curriculum and instruction and the institutional assessment of student learning, with a keen interest in making the college environment as inclusive as possible.聽 Parks is also the coordinator and advisor of the Board of Governors AAS degree program, the State鈥檚 adult degree completion program.聽聽 She is an active member of the Peer Review Corps of the Higher Learning Commission,聽a national accreditor for higher education.
